Artist Philosophy

What is Mo.Mu?

Mo.Mu is Moe Mustafa’s artistic initiative creating contemporary design rugs and interior objects, focusing on bold colors and geometric forms to bring harmony into everyday spaces.

My fascination with geometry and bold colors is not purely formal but philosophical. Geometry, to me, is the skeleton of perception, he structure that organizes how we encounter space, balance, and relation. It recalls Plato’s insistence that behind the flux of the world lies a realm of pure forms: geometrical shapes are not simply mathematical; they are metaphors for the human desire for order, clarity, and permanence. Yet geometry alone is silent, abstract, almost cold. Into this silence, boldcolor intervenes. Color is intensity, affect, vitality. Where form gives structure, color gives force. The color insists on presence, commands attention, stirs emotion. If geometry is the invisible grammar of being, then color is its flesh, its cry, its celebration.

“Bold color resists neutrality. It disrupts, energizes, and refuses to fade into the background.”

I refuse slip out, to fall behind and to fade into the background within a social system that purposly silence bodies like mine. In my work, I bring geometry and color into dialogue. I see them as two poles: order and desire, abstraction and sensation, skeleton and flesh. Their meeting is never neutral. A field of sharp lines charged with luminous pigment becomes a metaphor for the tension at the heart of existence: our constant negotiation between reason and passion, structure and freedom.

“Geometry holds, color breathes; structure shelters, intensity insists. Between the two, the body finds a place to rest, not in stillness, but in charged balance”.
